Born in Panama and bringing a global perspective to healthcare, Dr. Leah Cordovez has established herself as a distinguished leader in both conventional and integrative medicine. As a triple board-certified physician in Internal Medicine, Integrative Medicine, and Obesity Medicine, she combines rigorous scientific training with a comprehensive approach to wellness.
After graduating from the University of Panama Medical School in 2000, Dr. Cordovez completed her residency at Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital through the University of Tennessee, where her exceptional abilities led to her appointment as Chief Resident of Internal Medicine. Her professional journey continued with Saint Thomas Medical Partners before advancing to serve as concierge medical director for both MPOWER and Elite Orthopedics.
Dedicated to expanding her expertise, Dr. Cordovez earned a Fellowship in Integrative Medicine from the University of Arizona College of Medicine in 2017 and achieved Board certification in Obesity Medicine in 2020. Her academic credentials are further distinguished by a master's degree in Healthcare Management from Vanderbilt's prestigious Owen School of Business.
Today, Dr. Cordovez balances her role as founder of Be Well Integrative Health with her position as an associate professor of medicine at the University of Tennessee. Her status as a Fellow of the American College of Physicians underscores her commitment to excellence in patient care and medical innovation.
